Oregon Coast Colorway-Knit Picks Yarn

Thought I would post what I've done so far on the sweater. Just as soon as I get the underarm section done on this I'm going to put it away until closer to September....I know I jumped ahead but I just had to see how this yarn looks with the pattern. The yarn is so soft and light so it will be perfect for Winter here in the South!!

Thanks Maryanne and Kasia....I've finished up to the underarm now and ready to put on holder for the back...now I'll wait until closer to Sept. to start working again. BTW, the cables are soooo nice looking and fun to work...easy too!!!

Pam, I saw in your earlier post that you were holding 2 strands together for the sweater...did you finally end up doing that? Did it pose any problems? I'm thinking of using Shadow, but was wondering what you thought.

Hi Irishgirl...yes, my sweater is being knit with two strands of Shadow (Oregon Coast colorway) and it's turning out just fine! I haven't had any problems with it at all...it's very soft though and can be a bit slippery if you aren't used to knitting with lace weight yarn. I take extra care to be sure not to split the yarn with my needles when making stitches, but that's about all I would say might cause some difficulty (although it isn't a problem for me) I use Knit Picks laceweight for all sorts of knitting-doubling and even tripling the yarn to get the weight and gauge I need for a lot of projects I've done. Shadow has a really great drape to it as well. I think you'll like it....don't you just love the colors it comes in???
