Decisions

Ok, Webs is having an end-of-summer sale and they have several worsted weight yarns for a good price (what enabling? where?). I'm trying to decide what to get, if anything, for this project. I may opt for KP or Elan.

So, what yarn have you chosen? And what color?

I have a lot of teal, dark denim blue and pink in my stash, so I'm trying to branch out, but not too far...so I'm being a bit of a cheater by asking what colors everyone else is doing. Hehe.

(Also hi! I can't remember if I've introduced myself or not, sorry. I'm Melanie from Lotus Knits, and I'm excited about this KAL because I LOVE this sweater!!)

Hi Melanie! Nice to meet you :) I'm branching out a bit too and am making my sweater in cream (I usually go for pink or dark brown, so you're not the only one that sticks to the same colors a lot!). I'll be knitting it out of Karabella Yarns Aurora 8. At least that's what I hope - I may have mentioned somewhere on this blog that I'm pretty bad at substituting yarns :) I'll try to write a post soon about it so everyone can see. Thanks for sharing and can't wait to see what you choose!

Hi Melanie! It is a great looking sweater isn't it? Ooooooh, I love yarn sales-I'm going to have to check Webs out and see what's available. I'm in the pre-planning stages of making my SO a sweater with lots of cables so I want some really nice wool! I've posted a pic of my sweater back in the alpaca-Oregon Coast colorway-a sorty of greenish beige color. Can't wait to see what you are using!
BTW,can't wait to see the Karabella too!!!

I've finally decided what yarn I'll be using. Since cost is a little bit of a concern for me (I already put out the money for my expensive sweater earlier this year), I've opted to go with Knit Picks and I'm using Wool of the Andes in Amethyst Heather. It's not a color I use a lot and I wanted to do something different. I like pink and since my first sweater was pink, I didn't want to do another yet and my second that I'm working on is a blue-green, so I didn't want to go that way either. I like purple a lot, so I think it's a good choice. Plus, I like the heathered yarn. I'll be putting in my order next week and I'll have time to swatch before the KAL starts :o)
